mineRECON

mineRECON is an advanced tool for performing reconciliation in underground stoping environments. Reconciliations need no longer be something you wish you had time to do, or that happens too late to be of benefit. Now you can reap the rewards of timely reconciliation with mineRECON.  You will find the look and feel of mineRECON familiar, as it uses the intuitive, flow-sheet style user interface of mineCAD and Mine2-4D.
The system makes use of the same technology developed for the Leapfrog software, which facilitates the generation of closed solids from raw CMS data without the need for manual linking of “polylines” sections. This has the effect of dramatically reducing the time required to generate valid CMS solids.

From CMS Data to Solids

Traditionally, transforming CMS data into solids that could be analysed using reconciliation software has been an extremely time-consuming task in which complete accuracy could not be guaranteed. Once a void or cavity has been scanned using CMS range-finder technology, an engineer had to interpret each section of the scan and manually link the sections together to create the solid.
mineRECON eliminates the intermediate step of sectional modeling, and as a result reduces the workflow by several orders of magnitude. Users simply feed in the data and mineRECON performs the interpolation and subsequently generates the solid. A range of parameters are user-configurable, because with certain scans there is a need to change the way the interpolation is performed. Unclean CMS data (spikes and shadows) is not a problem for mineRECON as automated and manual cleaning tools are a standard featureset.

The solids modeling portion of the module has been developed as a joint software initiative between MineRP and Zaparo, and incorporates Zaparo's Leapfrog rapid interpolation technology. This technology forms the basis for the fast generation of validated CMS solids within the module, and is the driving force behind mineRECON's unique cavity modeling capabilities.

Once a valid CMS solid has been created (or supplied from other software), mineRECON has the ability to automatically generate over-break and under-break reports, taking into account the effect of surrounding voids and development.
